Fun and Games

Suddenly the weather has become a lot cooler and it gets dark very much earlier than it did so we get to play less and less in the garden. All of which is a bit disappointing because I found a way up one of the conifers and on to the garage roof. I sat there waiting for Max to join me but before he could start his ascent our owner saw us and took Max inside. She then came out, complete with steps, and came up to my level. Needless to say I thought that was a great idea (playing with her rather than Max) so I hopped on the back fence to see if she would follow. She didn't. I guess the idea of pirouetting along a half inch wide board wasn't her idea of fun but she really should have given it a try because it was soooooooooooo exciting.

She got off the steps and came up to the fence and took me off it. I was most indignant! Why should she stop such a wonderful game and if she didn't want to play I'll bet Max would have enjoyed it!

The conifers all became very much shorter that afternoon for some reason and although I have tried I can't reach the garage roof any more so Max and I are busy looking for another kind of mischief just to keep her on her toes!

Yesterday I was playing round the shrub beds and heard some movement in the undergrowth. I watched really carefully and when I saw the leaves move again I pounced. I got a thing called a 'frog' which I think might have been good to play with but before I could persuade it to do so it took a big leap forward and disappeared out of sight again!

Max seems to have taken up some kind of cat 'Yoga'

But I prefer a more traditional sleeping position!

You can see the colour is coming through on my face now

Max loves to roll around on the patio

Max is becoming quite handsome now

We both like to watch the birds in the garden
