We had visitors to stay! Our apologies if we haven't been on line and updated the pages recently but we have had visitors staying over which was quite a novelty for both of us. Our owner's mother and sister came to visit us for a few days and they took over the 'granny flat' where we like to play. It wasn't as if we were even consulted about the matter they just arrived and took over! We knew something was going on because for a few days beforehand there had been much cleaning, polishing and washing going on so we thought that something must be happening and then these new people arrived with suitcases of clothes so we figured it wasn't just a short visit. I stayed out of the way at first and sent Max in to investigate - he reported back that they seemed friendly enough but kept shutting doors so that he couldn't check out all of their belongings which he thought was a bit mean! Our owner stayed home from work and the weather was gorgeous so we got to play out loads in the 'big garden' even if Max kept trying to chase the birds and the butterflies! On their last day Max got caught up by a bramble branch which got stuck in his coat and the faster he ran the faster it followed him which frightened him a great deal. Our owner rescued him and gave him a cuddle but ever since he has been a bit more restrained when he is out in the garden. Anyway our visitors have gone now and the place is back to normal - at least next time we should know what to expect! I should also perhaps mention that Max went to the veterinary hospital the other day for an operation so we both had to starve again. I can't understand why I have to starve when he is the one having the operation but then again he says he had to do the same for me. I got to go to the vets with him in the morning because one of the nice vets wanted to tickle my tummy just to check that I was OK after my operation. Needless to say I was fine so I got to go home and spend the day with our owner getting her undivided attention until she collected a slightly sleepy Max later in the afternoon. Our owner treated us to a massive slipper from the pet shop which is great to hide in - she says something about we might want to cuddle up in it in 'winter' whatever that is - I guess we just have to wait and see!
